A diverse country with more than thousand islands
Croatia is a young country, which gained independence in 1991,and became a member of the European Union since July 2013. The country displays unique treasures of architecture, antique ruins and jewels from the Romanesque to the Modern, many of which are quoted in the UNESCO World Heritage Monument List.
